Forskolin, a potential pharmacological compound, is a cell-permeable adenylyl cyclase activator. It can modulate the level of adenylate cyclase enzyme and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). Forskolin can also be used to induce differentiation of stem cells.
