FAQ's Q: What is the difference between a UniBator? and a Hexabator?? A: The Unibator? is a CO2 heating/cooling incubator with the unique feature of rapid cooling, which eliminates the need to transfer samples from the incubator to a refrigerator, thereby reducing labor and the risk of contamination. The Unibator is designed for tube, dish, bottle, and muti-well plate based experiments in a single chamber. The DT2-UNI-3 is the current version of the Unibator, and it includes our temperature/CO2 control and data logging software for free. It can be packaged with the software pre-installed on a Mac or Windows computer (your choice), or you can use it on a computer that you already have. The HexaBator? has all the features of a Unibator, but includes six separate, independently programmable chambers. The chambers can be opened and closed individually and maintain different internal temperatures different experimental conditions and timing. The system is perfectly suited for multi-well assays for high-throughput screening. The HexaBator looks like a cabinet with 6 drawers and sits next to a chiller unit and a CO2-source unit. A MacBook is included with the HexaBator and sits on top of the cabinet.
