TempPlate? EXT film strips securely seal a select row or two rows at one time to reduce cross contamination from well-to-well yet removes cleanly from surfaces and leaves no residue. Temperature range: -40°C to +120°C. 2 mil clear polyester; non-pierceable. Precision cut strips fit PCR plates, PCR tube strips, multiwell plates, and strip tubes. Two perforated end tabs aid in application.
Recommended for PCR, assays, storage, and robotic applications. Certified free of detectable RNase and DNase.
Application notes:
- Recommend using a tube or plate rack to support tube strips and plates during application (e.g. 2300-9708, 2300-9602, 2312-2796, or 2312-5496)
- Using the end-tabs, remove the sealing strip from the backing completely
- Line up from one end of the selected row to the other end
- Apply pressure evenly in a swiping motion over the entire film strip
- Remove the end-tabs to reduce interference with cycler lids and blocks
- DO NOT crimp strip around wells as this can cause air gaps leading to potential sample loss
- A final sealing swipe is recommended to ensure the seal is firmly intact
