Outstanding UV intensity and irradiance uniformity reveals even trace amounts of DNA. A removable polymer-based diffusing screen distributes the light evenly and eliminates confusing striations. The 312 nm wavelength virtually eliminates the transmission of 254 nm radiation that can cause photobleaching, photonicking, and photodimerization. High quality filter glass inhibits solarization up to 50 times longer than conventional filters.
