The thinner walls of Profile Point? tips provide greater clarity and decrease the surface area around the orifice to improve sample release. 100 μl TipOne? Profile filter tips are the same length as other 100 μl TipOne filter tips. A soft, flexible collar helps decrease application and ejection forces.

Advanced molding technologies allow these tips to have thinner walls while maintaining optimum coaxiality, strength, and accuracy. Less plastic is needed for tip production, which helps reduce environmental impact.

TipOne? filter tips have a hydrophobic filter made of ultra high-density polyethylene. The filter traps aerosols and airborne contaminants, greatly reducing the risk of sample carry-over and cross contamination. If your sample comes in contact with the filter, it will not be sealed within the tip. You may still dispense the sample for further use.

Each hinged rack is individually sealed in plastic and has a tear strip for easy opening without sharp instruments.

TipOne? racks have a contoured lid and base for easier handling. Tip volume, lot number, and other important information is laser-marked on the front of each wafer - no label required!

The Importance of Filter Tips

Any lab using air displacement pipettes is at risk for carryover of contaminants. Without filter tips, liquids that may aerosolize during aspiration can enter the air space within the pipette. Subsequent samples may be exposed to these aerosols as air is displaced during dispensing. Today's laboratory procedures are becoming increasingly sensitive, and any contamination can result in a significant loss of time and/or rare samples. The right filter tips can prevent this loss and save the cost of laboratory reagents for repeated experiments.
