These tattoo systems provide lab animal identification that is humane, nontoxic, safe, and permanent for the life of the animal
General rodent tattoo system is designed for weanling to adult rodents and can be used for all lab animals. Neonate upgrade kit (89066-382) adds supplies and accessories for the identification of neonate rodents (P0-P15). Note: Neonate tattoo system is designed for neonate rodents and is not intended for adult mouse tattooing.
Large lab animal tattoo system is suitable for NHP, rabbits, GP, ferrets, swine, and dogs.
Institutional package includes three complete tattoo systems of choice and on-site training at the user's facility.
Systems, which produce dark, easy-to-read tattoos that do not fade, can process up to 120 mice per hour. No anesthesia is necessary. Tattoos can be used to uniquely identify day-old mice or rats as well as nude, athymic, and transgenic animals. Tattoo identification of neonate rodents provides an effective alternative to toe clipping.
