Eppendorf Tubes 5.0 mL are the missing link! This product represents the perfect option for working with medium–sized sample volumes. It fills the gap between existing tube formats and enables the simple and safe processing of sample volumes up to 5.0 mL.
The tubes allow ergonomic operation
The tubes provide maximum safety and stability for centrifugation up to 25,000 x g with fast and efficient protocols. Their conical shape is compatible with accessories for conical 15 mL tubes, so many existing adapters and racks can be used. The 5.0 mL snap cap tubes are available in Eppendorf LoBind? material for maximum recovery of valuable samples.
Applications include preparation of mastermixes and buffers, convenient and safe cell culture applications, safe cell and tissue lysis, and higher yields in DNA isolation, especially with samples with limited quantity of source material.
Snap caps allow simple, practical and ergonomic singlehand operation, while screw caps have flattened and grooved sides which provide optimal grip and user-friendly handling. The tubes also have a broad operating temperature range: Screw cap tubes: -86°C - 100°C. Snap cap tubes: -86°C - 80°C (when using the clip ≤ 100°C). They are made from an exceptionally high-quality, transparent polypropylene, free of plasticizers, biocides or mold release agents, for reliable test results. Available in lot specific certified Eppendorf Quality, PCR clean, Sterile and Eppendorf Biopur? purity grades.
