Description	Purity: > 90% by SDS - PAGE Format: Liquid. In 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing 0.15M NaCl, 10% glycerol, 1mM DTT. Elongation factor 1-gamma, also known as EEF1G, is a multi-protein complex that is responsible for the delivery of aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome. This subunit contains an N-terminal glutathione transferase domain, which may be involved in regulating the assembly of multisubunit complexes containing this elongation factor and aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. Increased expression of EEF1G is associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting a possible role for EEF1G in the oncogenic transformation process. Recombinant human EEF1G protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
