| Description | Purified anti-ALDH1L1. Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member L1 (ALDH1L1) was originally discovered as an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate, with NADPH and CO2 as by products. ALDH1L1 is most exclusively expressed by astroglial cells1 implicating these cells as the major components of folate-dependent formate oxidation in the brain. |
