| Description | The epitope appears to be linear. Does not bind native beta subunits on cells, but does bind to some C-terminally truncated forms. This antibody preferentially recognizes partially denatured beta subunits. This antibody is excellent for Immunoblotting but does not work for Immunoprecipitation or Immunohistochemistry. Cros-reactivity with mammalian is unlikely. Weaker than mAb 24 for immunoprecipitation of native beta subunit, but better than mAb 24 for truncated subunit [PMID 7901216]. |
